GMO Internet, an Internet juggernaut in Japan, has announced its new Bitcoin miner, the GMO Miner B3. This is an ASIC minor succeeding B2 released in June and sold out quickly after its announcement.
Equipped with chips engraved in 7 nm, the GMO Miner B3 offers a calculation power of 33 TH / s on the SHA-256 mining algorithm. The introductory price of the minor is $ 1,999 and deliveries are scheduled as early as July.

The GMO Miner B3 benefits from new ASIC chips engraved in 7 nm, which allows him to achieve a higher hash rate than his competitors. The previous model B2 offered a calculation power of 24 TH / s for 1,950 W of power consumption, or 81 W per TH / s. The new model will consume 3 417 w, or 103 W per TH / s. This is a little more than the previous version and one wonders why the Japanese firm made this choice.

While we were selling the GMO Miner B2, several customers asked for a function to adjust the hash power. Therefore, we have accelerated the planned development of the “hash power optimization function”, which allows to define the optimal hash power and power consumption and to send in our new minor.
This new function will have two modes: manual and automatic. The automatic mode will adjust the miner’s computing power based on the cost of electricity. It will also depend on the environment in which the minor is installed and the overall hash rate.
